Foster

Foster parents provide temporary care for cats, kittens, dogs and puppies in their own Morris County homes. Some animals need as little as two weeks of care while others may need up to three months.

Fostering allows animals a break from a shelter environment and helps them de-stress. It also provides Smitten by Kittens with more information about your foster cat, which helps them get adopted. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the company of a shelter pet, AND if you fall in love, you can adopt straight from your home! There is no expectation for our foster families to adopt, and fostering doesn’t cost you anything. We will work with you and greatly appreciate your willingness to help out!
